- Research on availability of Land and existing Right Holders.
- Due Diligence reports and portfolio reviews.
- Project management, preparation, lodgement and management of applications for Prospecting and Mining rights in terms of the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA), 2002, which includes drafting or facilitation of drafting of the Mining/ Prospecting Work Programmes, Social and Labour plans (SLP), Environmental Management Programmes (EMP) and Regulation 2(2) Plans.
- Arrangements for the notarial execution and registration of such rights on behalf of the client.
- Advice on surface development (Section 53 Applications) as well as advice on rezoning matters and Municipal Valuations.
- Management of Mining and Prospecting Rights Portfolio and strategic advice to ensure full compliance with MPRDA and applicable legislation, including preparation, lodgement and follow-up of applications in terms of Sections 11 (Transfer and Cession of Rights) and 102 (Amendment of Rights) of the MPRDA.
- Monthly reporting to Client on status of applications, rights and compliance with the MPRDA and applicable legislation.
- Communicate on Client’s behalf with the Department of Mineral Resources and other relevant Government Departments.
- Consultation with interested and affected persons, such as landowners, on Client’s behalf.
