EXPERIENCE
- Mera Advisers is managed by Neels Hoek. Neels has over 24 years’ experience in the Government and Mining sector in South Africa. He has an in-depth experience of Mineral Rights issues, both from a Government and Industry perspective.
- Neels was previously the Head of Administration and Systems in the Mineral Regulation Branch of the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) where he was employed for 17 years, with experience in the Mineral Laws, Mine Economics, Social and Labour Plan and Environmental Divisions of the DMR. For the past 7 years, Neels headed the Mineral and Mining Rights Departments of Aquarius Platinum (SA) (Pty) Ltd and Sibanye Stillwater Limited, both Platinum and Gold sections.
